Puriri Tree

The Puriri Tree Ecological Centre and Adventure Centre, Matakana. Situated approx 4 km from Matakana Village on the corner of Omaha Valley Rd and Leigh Rd. The property is 15 acres of flat to rolling countryside bounded on the eastern side by the bush clad Mt Tamahunga stream. There are stands of Native bush with some truly remarkable examples of Puriri and Totara. Native birds abound in the area including Wood Pigeon, Fantail, Tui and the rare Kaka.
